‘Do you believe you’re worthy of good things?’ - Jo
What if we messed around and really believed?
That it can happen for us and not just for those around us?
That it doesn’t just happen for them, over there —
Or for people with ‘ good upbringings’ or wealthy families? Or for people with perfect bodies, or squeaky clean pasts? Who execute on the first try, have perfect health, and perfect speech—-
Maybe, just maybe — our dream life is on the other side of a decision. decisions. To first believe, it can be us. That it will be us.
Not the exact story and journey that we’ve observed happening for other people— but a joy, a sense of peace, fulfillment, the friends, family, projects, the confidence, the happy marriage, the thriving business, the money…that we dream of.
The one that aligns with who WE are, and what God wants us to create, with the ingredients WE have.
may we begin to believe,
That in our mess, and all the things we don’t know yet, or the connections we haven’t made yet — That who we are is enough.
May we begin to truly understand that our belief that we are worthy of good things is powerful enough to charge us into actions that lead us to the very things we want.
That what we do have and what we do know is enough to get started. Cause really what we need most of the time, is just to get started.
Finding that there’s magic in the motion - in the action. Almost like it helps thrust you into believing on a new level. It, whatever it is, starts to feel a little more attainable with each stride we take. Because it is. With work, yes. But the more we experience ourselves take the steps in the direction of what we say we want - and who we say we want to become, something happens.
Next thing you know, we will look up and be doing the very thing that a couple months ago felt far off in the distance.
So I’m going to encourage you,
Combine your faith in who God is with the courage to take a step. Connecting to the fact that God created you in His image. All of His creativity, and goodness. His loving nature, and boldness. His assertiveness, and His generosity — the abundance. Its within us, its all within reach. We just have to figure out how to tap into it, and that first starts with belief.
For those of us that may be struggling to believe;
Let us actively work to change the stories of what is possible for us. We see God show up in a new way when we open ourselves up to see Him in a new way. and look for Him in everything. We see Him show up in a new way when we get bolder in our prayers and the things we ask for. The more we have the courage to pray bold prayers, the more we experience God show us new levels of possibilities.
May we translate that same idea to our own minds. Whether we truly believe right now or not, have the courage to try a new thing. To actively work to retrain our minds, and our beliefs. Intentionally thinking about the future in the way we want it to be — not what we previously thought was possible.
May we ask God to help us believe. To work on our unbelief. To connect us to people that help us believe. To help us to change the story we’ve previously told ourselves.
I’m learning that it all starts with a decision —-
and from that decision, lets work the process of everyday taking the steps, and redirecting our thoughts to things that help us believe— until it becomes real.
Know, that are worthy. We are all worthy and deserving of good things.
I love you.

I love writing to instrumental soaking worship music. Sharing the song I was listening to while wrapping this newsletter up.
